This was done in acrylic paint on an 18" x 24" canvas board. The background is actually a very, very dark blue. This piece will require a frame for hanging.
Donny Hathaway's music is timeless, his voice soulful and soothing, at the same time as it was haunting. His contemporaries were Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, music legends and icons in their own right. Donny's daughter Lalah has herself been blessed with a hauntingly yet soothing voice, and is a force to be reckoned with among female vocalists today.
